DBA Food-4-Less Date: 02/05/2016 Address: 131 S SPRECKLES BLVD,MANTECA 95336 Owner/Operator: PAQ INC Telephone: (209) 858-0101 Program Element: 1600 - FOOD PROGRAM Complaint#: C00040995 DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: CO 0040995 states: (C) alleges that the store routinely has birds inside the store, roosting and flying over and around the open shelves of produce. They are on the floor when people are not around." VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7: 113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and have the potential to cause foodbome illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of the food facility. OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS FOOD ITEM --LOCATION --TEMP°F--COMMENTS No Temperature Data Collected i NOTES Store Director is on site and confirmed that the facility occasionally has sparrows that come in through the receiving area's roll up doors, sit on the air handler and fly into the produce section. Facility has deterrents in place to prevent these birds from entering the store including: positioning owls over the roll-up doors, positioning forced air curtains over the roll-up doors and hanging bird repellent streamers (flash tape) in the produce area. Photos were taken. Upon inspection today, no birds were observed inside the store. No nests or nesting material was observed in the interior of the store. Corrective Action required: 1) Continue current control measures to prevent the entrance of birds into the facility. 2)Take action to rid the facility of birds if they enter the facility. i . The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and Safety Code. If a reinspection is required,fees will be assessed at the-current hourly rate.
