LEAD DETECTION
S: 0- . LI.0
4
Exclusive Providers for MDleak® and PHDleakO Technologies
1400 East Paseo Paxron a Tucson, AZ 85718 Phone 855-255-5325 • FAX: 520.990.8965
Sales@LeakDetect.net s tvwwl eakDetect.net
NMleak® Pre -Testing Instructions for Owners and Contractors
The state of California requires ELD testing at any facility whenever an Underground Storage Tank
is installed at a new or existing installation. The MDleak® Testing Method developed by Leak
Detection Technologies is the most versatile and flexible testing method in today's market. Owners
and contactors require quick and accurate results that can only be found by using the N M1eak®
testing method.
California requires the industries best available technology to test their Underground Storage Tanks
(UST). These regulations help make California one of the nation's cleanest states from uncontrolled
UST releases.
Standard technologies such as pressure testing cannot detect or locate small leaks to California's
standards. Because small leaks can go undetected NIDleak®,pretesting should be completed before
the final backfilling process is started
We have completed a check list of expectation to guide the contractor and help make the site
personnel as successful as possible.
Scheduling:
1. LDT offer services throughout California. Therefore it is important that you schedule with
LDT around the time the tank pit excavation begins.
2. Early scheduling makes for an on time arrival of our crews.
3. Once we have the site scheduled we will contact the contractor by phone two weeks before
the scheduled arrival date to confirm the starting date and again at one week out. Contact
information, Toll Free 855 -255 -LEAK (5325), Fax 520-509-3720 or info@,LeakDetect.net
Timing:
1. The best time for LDT to arrive is right after the contractor has completed the rough
inspection of the piping and sumps but before completing the backfilling.
Systems:
1. LDT has no restrictions to the MDleak® Method.
2. LDT has several chemical markers so site contamination by a single chemical marker is not
a consideration or limitation.
3. It is best for the contactor to find the majority of the leaks using whatever method they can.
Author David Rabb 1 of 2
