Jerry Moore
Page 2
4. A groundwater extraction plan :designed at this time may
not be adequate to treat the entire plume of groundwater
contamination since the plume has not been physically
defined. In addition, monitoringwell #lA may not be
adequate for an extraction well since it is a two (2)
inch well and was not designed as an extraction well.
Air stripping of the extract6d water will require a
permit from APCD. Disposal ofi the extracted water into
the public sewer will require "a permit from the City of
Manteca.
5. Pursuant to Section 2652 (d) of the Underground Storage
Tank Regulations (California Administrative Cade, Title
23 , Subchapter 16) a quarterly monitoring report shall be
submitted to Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division and Central Valley'l Regional Water Quality
Control Board (CVRWQCB) _ unti4l the investigation and
cleanup of the site is deemed adequate. The report is to
show the:
-status of investigation and cleanup activities
including the results of: all investigations
completed to date;
-proposed continuing or next phase of investigation;
-method of cleanup proposed or implemented,
schedules for the completion of the investigation
of the site and remediation;
-monitoring well data including groundwater
elevation, pH, conductivity, gradient;
-analytical results of groundwater or soil sampling;
and
-a site map showing the "zero line" of
contamination, if known,. and changes in the above
measurements over the last quarter.
When investigation schedules and report preparations
overlap, the quarterly monitoring data may be submitted
as a letter to the regulating agencies.
I
1
{4
I,
I
1 ;
mow._ _ .......r• .. .-. .._ .. .+^.s..-....
Apri-L 15, 1991, for"-the period of 'January, 1991 through
March, 1991.
6.
