Box 2009
Stockton CA 95201
J.
MOORE PETROLEUM, 1399 EAST YOSEMITE AVENUE, MANTECA - PRELIMINARY
HYDROGEOLOGIC ASSESSMENT REPORT
We have reviewed the 25 July 1989 "Preliminary Hydrogeologic Assessment
Report" prepared by Delta Environmental consultants, Inc. ,, for this
site. Two additional monitoring wells were installed during this phase
of investigation. The report summarizes -information from a past t
investigation, and includes analytical results for one complete round of
sampling. Based on -the low levels of-contaminants detected, the
consultant has proposed quarterly sampling of the ground water
i monitoring wells for a period of one year.
The proposal to' conduct quarterly '
ground water monitoring may be`
acceptable. However, we request'that an additional round of samples be
obtained and analyzed to verify the initial results prior to
implementing the quarterly monitoring program. We also request that
L. after purging the wells, the samples be- taken with-.a bailer, rather than
by pumping, to assure. that the samples are not being affected by the
j polyethylene tubing used .in the pump.
l
If you have any questions, please call me at (916). 36.1-..5131.
f
j
THOMAS D.
