Yosemite, Manteca, California <br /> Dear Ms. Lagorio: <br /> Aegis Environmental, Inc. (Aegis), on behalf of Moore Petroleum, Inc., is pleased to <br /> respond to your letter, dated March 11, 1993 (attached), and our phone conversation on <br /> March 19, 1993. Aegis is gratified the public comment period has begun for the subject <br /> site, and looks forward to beginning remediation upon receipt of approval. <br /> In your correspondence, you state "In the addendum to the 'Final Remediation Plan' it is <br /> stated that the work outlined in the 'Well Installation Workplan,' dated April 30, 1992, will <br /> proceed after remodeling of the service station." This is not the case. The addendum <br /> does state (second page, last paragraph), "Regarding the April 30, 1992, well installation <br /> workplan, Aegis has obtained all necessary well permits and is planning installation <br /> proceeding remodeling of the service station." We are aware certain wells do have to be <br /> destroyed and reinstalled prior to commencing any remodeling of the site's facilities. The <br /> planned activities were to take place once remodeling of the facility was imminent. That <br /> has not taken place and these activities had been put on hold for that reason.
