a'� r <br /> x L <br /> LA Irted Hydrogeolnoc Assessment workplan <br /> 13W E Yosernae Avenue Manteca Calrtornia <br /> SCOPE <br /> The proposed scope of work will be conducted according to the Aegis standard operating <br /> procedures included in Appendix A, and include the following <br /> • Drill, log, and sample two soil borings to approximately 35 feet below <br /> surface at the proposed locations shown on Figure 2 <br /> • Based on the results of field observations and/or measurements, submit <br /> selected soil samples to a state-certified laboratory for analysis <br /> • Complete the borings as 4-inch-diameter groundwater monitoring wells <br /> MW-3A and MW-6 <br /> • Measure stabilized water levels in each well Develop, purge, and collect <br /> water samples from each well for submittal to a state-certified laboratory for <br /> analysis <br /> • Complete a survey of the top-of-casing elevation of each well by a Incensed <br /> surveyor <br /> • Based on the water levels and survey data, determine the direction and <br /> gradient of groundwater flow beneath the site <br /> • Review the data and prepare a factual report of the investigation <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description <br /> The East Yosemite Avenue Moore Petroleum service station is located on the northwest <br /> corner of the intersection of Northwoods and East Yosemite Avenues in Manteca <br /> (Figure 2) The site is located in a commercial area of eastern Manteca Details of the <br /> site's current and former facilities, including previous and existing UST, were reported by <br /> Aegis in a "Problem Assessment Report, Including Quarterly Monitoring Report," dated <br /> November 12, 1991 <br /> Previous Investigation <br /> In August 1988, Earth Treatment Systems drilled four soil borings, SB-1 through SB-4, <br /> and completed one boring (SB-4) as a 2-inch-diameter monitoring well (MW-1) set <br /> approximately 36 5 feet below surface <br /> 90-098A WPN 2 <br />
