Copies of uniform manifests and consolidated manifests for the disposal of hazardous waste were not found on site. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. 112 HSC 25160.2(b)(3) Failed to keep copies of consolidated manifesting receipts for three years. Bills of lading or manifests for the management of lead acid batteries for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading or manifests for lead acid batteries for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. 117 HSC 25404(e)(4) Failed to report program data electronically. A submission to the California Electronic Reporting System (CERS) for the hazardous waste program has not been made. Beginning January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all new(or any changes to existing) hazardous waste information online to the CERS at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required fields 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. 1-55g drum of used oil was seen without a start accumulation date . Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. This is a Class II violation. 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. 1-55g drum of used oil was not labeled. A blank hazardous waste label which appeared to have fallen off was on the ground near the drum. . All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: -the words"Hazardous Waste" - name and address of generator - hazardous properties - physical state -composition (contents) -accumulation start date Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. Since it cannot be determined how long the 55g drum has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD.
