SAN ) O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department
Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 7/20/2018 to
1130/2018 for CORNGBBKR located at
1630 E HAMMER LN. STOCKTON, CA
Activity Date Recorded by
09/24/2018 Received a call from Nathan Johnson of Versik 3E Company (760-6028703 ext. PE 2546 FLORIDO
30 min 7402) who notified me of a gasoline spill into a storm drain at the Costco Gasoline SC 544
Station at 1630 E. Hammer Ln. in Stockton on 9/22/18. Nick stated <1/4 gallon
entered the storm drain. Patriot Environmental conducted the clean-up of the drain
and the Costco attendant cleaned the spill from the pavement. Nick stated he
would have Costco provide me with a written report stating how the incident was
handled.
Called the Costco Gas Station (209-78-2040) and spoke to Charlie Morris,
Assistant General Manager. Charlie stated the spill entered the drain, but did not
go past the catch basin, and thus did not appear to have entered the drain pipe
below the catch basin. Patriot Environmental cleaned the catch basin and
vacuumed up the storm water that was in the bottom of the drain, generated one
55-gallon drum of liquid waste pending analytical. Charlie stated Patriot was going
to pick up the waste drum tomorrow. Charlie stated the absorbent and boom used
to absorb and containing the spill was placed in an on site hazardous waste drum
by the attendant. Abraham Treciado of Patriot Environmental conducted the
clean-up of the drain. Charlie provided the phone number to Wayne Johnson,
Abraham's boss, (510-514-1053).
Discussed incident with Garrett Backus. Garrett provided the contact info for
Jason Fonsworth for City of Stockton Storm Drain. I called and notified Jason
Fonsworth of the incident. Jason stated an inspector from the city will be visiting
the site tomorrow. Garrett stated to discuss the incident with Muni N. tomorrow,
since he has left for the rest of the day. Costco Gas may be sited for not notifying
the EHD immediately after the spill.
09/25/2018 Generated complaint. Discussed complaint with Muniappa Naidu, Jamie Lima, PE 2546 FLORIDO
36 min and Haza Saeed. Completed yesterday's narrative. SC 544
Page 1 of 3
