The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been
addressed for DEL RIO WEST PALLET as of January09, 2019.
Open violations from April 27, 2016 inspection
Violation #608 - Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters.
Used oil filters were observed stored in an overflowing drum and on the shop floor around the drum. Used oil filters
shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used oil filters," and
marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately place all filters in properly closed and labeled containers and
ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way.
Drained used oil filters were last disposed of in July 2014. Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per
year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one ton or more of used oil filters may store the
filters for up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of
lading to the EHD.
