Provide a corrective action statement to the EHD within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 502 CCR 66265.192(x) Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br /> Facility does not have Title 22 California Code of Regulation hazardous waste tank assessment documents for the <br /> used oil and antifreeze coolant tanks. <br /> The owner or operator of hazardous waste tanks shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an <br /> independent, qualified, professional engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient <br /> structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks <br /> and containment system are suitably designed. <br /> Immediately have an assessment prepared for the used oil and antifreeze coolant tanks. Submit a schedule showing <br /> when this will be accomplished to the EHD within 30 days. Submit a copy of the completed hazardous waste tank <br /> assessments to the EHD when available. <br /> This is a Class I violation. <br /> 507 CCR 66265.195 Failed to conduct daily inspections of hazardous waste tank system and maintain records onsite. <br /> Inspections of the used oil and antifreeze coolant hazardous waste tank systems were not documented daily. <br /> The following items are required to be inspected at least daily: <br /> 1. overfill/spill control equipment; <br /> 2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br /> 3. data gathered from monitoring and leak-detection equipment; <br /> 4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br /> hazardous waste; <br /> 5.for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br /> Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br /> Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class 11 violation. <br /> Page 7 of 9 <br />
