Main Street <br /> Stockton CA 95202 <br /> October 5, 2011 <br /> Dear Mr. Borges: <br /> In addition to Target's traditional food offerings, Target will be expanding our food assortment to include <br /> additional bakery,deli, meat and produce items. <br /> Our expanded food offerings consist of case ready products in our bakery,deli and meat assortments. None of the <br /> assortments in bakery, deli, meat or produce will require any processing or packaging by store team members. <br /> There will be no trimming or processing of any meat products. The produce assortment will consist of mainly <br /> prepackaged case ready products with limited bulk produce items, i.e. melons, lemons, apples and bananas. No <br /> food production equipment or utensils are required for the expanded assortments. <br /> Food, including sandwiches, salads, hot dogs and coffee are produced exclusively in our Target Cafe and Starbucks <br /> (where applicable). Other than these two areas,food production,process or repackaging will not take place in any <br /> other department in the store. <br /> Our Dry Produce/Labeling Room includes a scale labeling devices and storage areas (dry and refrigerated). There <br /> will be no trimming,slicing, dicing, rinsing/washing or repacking of product. Scales labeling devices will be used to <br /> weigh and label all random weight case ready items. This will eliminate the need to weigh items at the point of <br /> sale checkout lanes. Cleaning and sanitation of scales, product storage ad display cases is addressed through a <br /> tote system that includes 3 spray bottles and disposable wiping clothes along with detailed instructions for a <br /> completed wash, rinse and sanitized process. Chemicals dispensers for refilling bottles are located in the Target <br /> Cafe area. <br /> Target Corporation is committed to food safety and will continue to strive to meet and exceed food safety <br /> regulations.
