SA N.J OA Q U l N Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY <br /> Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 3/1/2015 to <br /> 6/21/2034 for C00042166 located at <br /> BYRON & WICKLUND <br /> Activity Date Recorded by <br /> 09/01/2016 At 0633 1 was notified by Troy Hedrick of SJC Public Work Road Maintenance of a PE 2546 SAEED <br /> 90 min fuel spill at Wicklund and Byron Road in Tracy, CA. Troy told me that CHP called SC 944 <br /> and told him that a truck got stuck at the rail road and the truck's fuel tank was <br /> raptured causing a 50 gallons spill of fuel. CHP incident Log#is 37. 1 was given <br /> CHP dispatch phone number(209 943-8600). l called CHP dispatch to get more <br /> information about the incident. I confirmed the incident details with CHP dispatch. <br /> I was told by CHP dispatch no waterways were impacted; however the rail road at <br /> the rail trucks is closed. I asked CHP about a contact person, who is on scene, <br /> and I was told that Eric Gatty was no scene. I asked CHP dispatch about Eric <br /> phone number and I was told he does not have one. At 0650 1 called the ER <br /> pager, and Fatinah returned my call. I gave Fatinah the incident information. At <br /> 0658 1 called Fatinah to ask for updates, and Fatinah told me that Kasey told her <br /> to go to the office and discussed the incident with the ER C person, and they will <br /> respond. I asked Fatinah if she had called CHP and asked if the cleanup in <br /> progress or not, and I was told she would give the information to the C person to <br /> call them. I told Fatinah I will call and ask about the clean-up. I called CHP and <br /> asked about the clean-up, and I was told by CHP that Public Work told them that <br /> we would do the clean-up. I explained to CHP dispatch that we supervise the <br /> clean-up and the RP needs to hire someone to clean-up. I told CHP dispatch that <br /> the ER person will respond after 0800 due to shift changes; the CHP dispatch was <br /> upset and asked me why is taking us too long to respond; I was told that CHP <br /> dispatch would cancel the call if we do not expedite the response. At 0719 1 called <br /> Kasey Foley and update her with the information I got from CHP. I told Kasey that <br /> CHP is upset because we are not responding immediately. Kasey asked me if <br /> CHP notified the rail road company and how far the incident from the rail road; I <br /> told her I will call CHP and ask. I called CHP dispatch and asked; Dispatch did not <br /> know how far the spill is from the rail road trucks, and told me that they did not <br /> notify the rail road company. I called Kasey back and updated her on the <br /> information I gathered. Kasey told me to respond to the incident.
