The
site is owned b Mr. Harr Shuler of PACIFIC ''PLUMBING. Gasoline
Y Y ,
BTE&X and lead contamination was detected i,n soil samples collected
Ir from beneath the tanks and piping areas, :;indicating that an
unauthorized release of hydrocarbons (gasoline) had occurred.
Some soil was previously excavated from: the tank location.
GEOAUDIT proposes to excavate any remaining contaminated soil from
the floor and sidewalls of the tank excavation. We anticipate
removing 200 cubic yards of soil from the excavation. Contaminated '
soil will be placed on plastic and stockpiled on the property. When
the excavation is completed, the stockpiled soil will be covered
with plastic sheeting. Excavated soil will be monitored during
removal using a field meter which measures ;gas vapors (photo-
ionization detector) .
i
The excavated soil will be sampled and analyzed by a state-
certified laboratory for the presence ofI petroleum, hydrocarbons
(gasoline) , BTE&X and lead. The soil will then be treated and/or
disposed of in an appropriate manner. ii
,
ij
i1
l
i
it
u
p{Y
!:
Il l
{ y
i,
I}
