Scope of Work for Phase 1 and Preliminary Phase II Environmental Site <br /> Assessment at 3190 Auto Center Circle, Stockton, California. <br /> Dear Ms. Lagorio: <br /> Dow Environmental, Inc. (DEI) will perform a Phase I and preliminary Phase 11 <br /> Environmental Assessment at the Lee Galles Oldsmobile, Cadillac, GMC Truck, Inc. <br /> dealership. The property is located at 3190 Auto Center Drive (the Site) in the city of <br /> Stockton, California (see Figure 1). The purpose of the work is to evaluate potential <br /> environmental concerns associated with past or present operations at the Site. DEI will <br /> perform the following tasks: <br /> Phase 1 Environmental Assessment tasks: Interview long term employees whom have <br /> knowledge of the Site history and operations; perform records review with local agencies; <br /> perform a visual Site inspection; record observations and obtain photographs on the <br /> physical condition of the Site. <br /> Preliminary Phase 2 Environmental Assessment tasks: DEI will drill six ten-foot deep borings, <br /> four ten-foot borings adjacent to the sites of hydraulic lifts in the service area, and two ten- <br /> foot deep borings adjacent to the three stage clarifier. The soil samples obtained at 8-10 feet <br /> depth from the ten-foot borings adjacent to the former lifts will be analyzed for Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) by EPA Methods 8015. Samples obtained at 8-10 feet <br /> depth from nearby to the three stage clarifier will be analyzed for TPH by EPA method <br /> 8015, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method 8240. Upon inspection of <br /> the aboveground storage tanks, up to four shallow soil samples may be collected in areas <br /> beneath the floor of tanks, if the integrity of the floor appears to have been stained from <br /> prior spills or is cracked or appears porous.
