L % i
ENVIROMETRIX
Grupe Development Company May 16, 1996
Mr. Shane Hart Page 2 of 4
reports indicated elevated levels of DDT and related compounds in five of the samples
(Q1, Q2, Q3, Q5 and Q6). Only one sample (Ql) reported 1.6 parts per million (ppm) of DDT,
which was above the hazardous waste threshold limit of 1.0 ppm established by the State of
California. in addition,Preliminary Remediation Goals (PRGs) developed by the U.S. EPA have
established PRGs for DDT in residential soil at 1.3 ppm. Levine-Fricke recommended further
investigation and/or remediation of affected soil onsite.
LIMITATIONS
This investigation was performed in a manner consistent with the level of care and skill
ordinarily exercised by members of the profession currently practicing in the same locality
under similar conditions. Therefore, chemical analyses of soil and groundwater samples are
only accurate at the time and place where samples are obtained. Data or values inferred to
exist between sampling points are estimates and may differ from those that actually exist. Our
assessment of the potential or extent of soil and/or groundwater contamination is a professional
opinion based on the data obtained from these discrete sampling points
The findings of this report are current as of the date of this report. However, changes in the
conditions of the property can occur with the passage of time, whether they are due to natural
processes or the works of man on this or adjacent properties. Therefore, the actual conditions
found may change over time. In addition, changes in applicable or appropriate standards may
occur from legislation or the broadening of knowledge. Accordingly, the finding of this report
may be invalidated wholly or partially by changes outside EMC's control.
This report is issued with the understanding that it is the responsibility of the owner, and/or his
representative, to ensure that the information contained in this report are brought to the
attention of the regulatory agencies as may be required by law.
This report was prepared for the sole use of Grupe Development and Florsheim Homes the
only intended beneficiaries of our work.
