C1 ayton %awe ENVIRONMENTAL j CONSULTANTS . rr F 'fii i Mr. William Rieger Page 3 Fortifiber Corporation Clayton Proposal No. 93-B-120 April 6, 1993 The water and soil generated from the well development and sampling will be placed into Department of Transportation (DOT) approved 55-gallon drums until laboratory results from groundwater and soil samples can be evaluated to determine proper disposal method. These drums will be closed, labeled, and left at the site. The cost of disposal will be based on the method and type of disposal required, and is not included in this proposal. The soil and water samples will be analyzed using the fallowing methods: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8015-modified for diesel fuel - EPA Method 8020 for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) - EPA Method 413.2 for total recoverable oil and grease - EPA Method 8315 for formaldehyde PROTECT MANAGEMENT AND REPORT PREPARATION Upon the conclusion of the field work and the receipt of the laboratory analytical results, Clayton will prepare a report detailing the results of the investigation, conclusions, and any recommendations for further investigation at the site. Clayton will provide these services using its commercially reasonable best efforts consistent with the level and skill ordinarily exercised by members of the profession currently practicing under similar conditions. FEES Clayton will provide the services described for an estimated fee of $5895. Our fees are based on hourly rates as shown in the attached fee schedule (Attachment 2) for all project-related work. Our estimated fee includes estimated material costs, out-of- pocket ut-ofpocket expenses (travel, lodging, food, incidentals) reasonably incurred in the performance of the work, charges of subcontractors retained by Clayton, and other direct costs, provided all such expenses are substantiated by reasonable and customary supporting documentation. Our estimated fee includes all out-of-pocket expenses, subcontractor charges, material costs, and other direct costs charged at cost plus 15%. Our estimated fee also includes laboratory fees, reproduction costs, equipment rental, mileage, and computer time billed at specified rates, as appropriate.
