Acacia St. <br /> Tracy, California <br /> ' Project No. 709.2 <br /> January 4, 1999 <br /> 1.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> ' On behalf of Mr. Barnabee, Geological Technics Inc. has performed the Soil and <br /> Groundwater Investigation work as outlined below on the property located at 501 E. Acacia <br /> 1 St., in Tracy, California. The work was performed on December 18, 1998 and December 21, <br /> 1998. <br /> The purpose of this work was to prepare this property for sale by addressing the <br /> ' recommendations of the Phase I ESA and perform testing in the following places: <br /> • Former Above Ground Storage Tanks <br /> • Former Underground Storage Tanks <br /> 1 • Waste Storage Area <br /> • 55-Gallon Drums & Staining <br /> 0 Paint(Ink) Shed <br /> 1 • Trash Compactor <br /> 0 Storage/Machinery Cleaning Area <br /> • Soil Beneath Northern Warehouse <br /> The scope of work was as follows: <br /> Former Above Ground Storage Tanks <br /> 1 1. Four boreholes (HB-2, HB-3, HB-4 & HB-5) were drilled by hand auger methods to the <br /> capillary fringe, approximately 7 feet below ground surface (bgs). <br /> 2. The boreholes were logged for the geologic properties, discoloration and any unnatural <br /> ' odor as observed in the drill cuttings that are removed during the drilling process. <br /> 3. Soil samples were collected at three-foot intervals from each borehole. <br /> 4. The boreholes were grouted up with neat cement grout under the supervision of Lori <br /> 1 Duncan of SJC PHS/EHD. <br />
