Gail had these initial comments and <br /> suggestions: <br /> 1. The background borehole does not need to be tested for semi-volatile organic compound <br /> unless we are attempting to show that these contaminants are coming from off site. Just test <br /> these samples for the five metals by method 6010. <br /> 2. The area downgradient of GP-9 (northeast of the warehouse) should also be investigated. <br /> The reasoning for this is that motor oil was found at approximately I mg/L (ppm) in GP-9 & <br /> 12 and 1.7 mg/L in GP-13. These test points are downgradient of the former storage area, <br /> which has motor oil concentrations ranging from 3.7 to 15.7 mg/L. The motor oil in GP-9 <br /> may be a separate source of motor oil s illed along the railroad spur or it may be a <br /> downgradient extension of the oil spilled at t e former storage area. <br />
