NORCAL
URS Greiner
January 25, 1999
Page 5
The EMLL investigation did not indicate the presence of near surface metal that may represent
a UST. However, it did define the location of an undifferentiated utility line and a storm drain
line. The undifferentiated utility generally trends south-north across the center of the survey
area. The storm drain line trends south-north along the west boundary of the survey area.
The surface trace of these features are shown on Plate 2.
South Area
The results of the GPR survey do not indicate hyperbolic signatures within the upper two to
four feet indicative of a UST. They do define continuous reflecting horizons typical of
undisturbed subsurface strata. In addition, the EMLL investigation did not indicate the
presence of near surface metal that may represent a UST or buried metal debris in this area.
STANDARD CARE AND WARRANTY
The scope of NORCAL's services for this project consisted of using geophysical methods to
characterize the shallow subsurface. The accuracy of our findings is subject to specific site
conditions and limitations inherent to the techniques used. We performed our services in a
manner consistent with the level of skill ordinarily exercised by members of the profession
currently employing similar methods.
