Previously, Subhash Johar held this <br /> position before transferring to another location. Staff in our two offices have continued to <br /> i coordinate closely at Shop 10 and other sites in San Joaquin C•ountyk I would like to request that all <br /> routine or project specific correspondence be addressed to me';and/o,r my staff person assigned to a <br /> particular project. Recently, correspondence has been addressed to the District Director and this <br /> can delay our receiving this communication and responding in'{!a timely manner. <br /> i <br /> } I appreciate the comments your staff have provided uson our current site assessment and <br /> pilot study. Your comments included a request for additional information regarding the rationale of <br /> our consultant developed remediation design. Our current design is based on recommendations of <br /> —our coinsultant.and-reviewed-by-qualified=.Caltrans-l.azardous-waste-specialists-We understand that" <br /> our design is somewhat experimental but believe it to be appropriate'for the site. We also <br /> understand that it may be necessary to modify this preliminaryidesigri based on the results pending or <br /> other information that becomes available later. Caltrans will take any steps necessary to insure an y <br /> approp'nate remediation design.
