Work Site <br /> I Location <br /> The work site is located south of District 10 Headquarters, at 1603 South B <br /> Street, Stockton, CA <br /> 3. Ownership and Land Use <br /> The site is an operating highway maintenance station owned by Caltrans Oper- <br /> ational buildings and facilities are shown on the facility map Underground <br /> utilities including water, electrical and sewer are located throughout the site <br /> There are twelve (12) monitoring wells located on the site <br /> 3. Contaminants of Concern <br /> Potential contaminants are related primarily to petroleum materials and wastes <br /> associated with fueling and servicing of vehicles and equipment used in the high- <br /> way maintenance Contaminants of concern are <br /> Diesel <br /> Gasoline, BTX & E and helogenated hydrocarbons <br /> Oil, grease and PCBs <br /> II DESCRIPTION OF WORD <br /> A. Prework Site Visit <br /> The contractor shall provide for a California Registered Geologist and/or <br /> Certified Engineering Geologist to accompany the Contract Manager on a <br /> prework site visit to the work site The prework site visit shall be held within <br /> five (5) working days of acccepting the TO <br /> The geologist who attends the prework site shall be the same individual who <br /> will be on-site and exercising responsible charge during the investigation No <br /> exception to this requirement will be permitted without prior approval of the <br /> Contract Manager <br /> The purpose of the prework site visit is to familiarize the contractor with the <br /> conditions of the work site and to clearly establish the objectives of the TO <br /> Technical and background data, along with site mapping, will be discussed <br /> and transferred to the contractor for use in the preparing the workplan The <br /> required level of the workplan and health and safety plan will be established <br /> and agreed on at this visit The draft completion schedule shall be discussed <br /> and the contractor may request revisions to the schedule The completion <br /> schedule will be finalized within five (5) working days of the prework site visit <br /> R. Develop Work Plan <br /> The contractor is responsible for reviewing the technical and background data <br /> furnished at the prework site visit and shall develop an investigative strategy <br /> to be proposed in a draft workplan The draft workplan submittal shall in- <br /> clude a copy of the TO Estimated Cost of Work showing any estimated item <br /> and quanitity revisions to accomplish the proposed workplan After review and <br /> approval by Caltrans, the workplan shall put into its final form incorporating <br /> any changes or additions requested <br />
