ACME kUCK PARTS & EQUIPIPENT
ENVIRONMENTAL/HAZ-MAT TRAINING
Diesel Fuel from salvage trucks can be reclaimed and transferred to our good
diesel tank or into another truck. If there is a question as to its quality, it
should be transferred into the waste oil tank.
Good Gasoline from salvaged trucks may be transferred into another vehicle.
If there is a question as to its quality, it should be transferred, temporarilyl into
a "WASTE GASOLINE" container on the containment slab, for future disposal.
15• • `,121 110
Used antifreeze coolant is a hazardous waste and must be reclaimed. Do not
contaminate with oil or any other waste product, as it can be recycled for
Acme Trucks.
**NOTE: A licensed recycler reclaims Contaminated Antifreeze.
Used batteries are stored in a contained area and held there until reclamation
by our battery vendor.
ACCIDENTAL SPILLS:
Another major topic of concern is that of accidental spills. All spills of any kind , of
new or waste products, especially in the wrecking yard, must be cleaned up and
reported to a supervisor or manager IMMEDIATELY. Our main concern about spills,
other than safety, is that of soil or water contamination. Soil contamination does not
stop at ground level. Seepage into the water tables and run off into the storm
sewers must be prevented to ensure a safe environment for us and for the
generations to come.
EMPLOYEE
TRAINER
DATE/OF TRA'INING
