0 9
CLOSURE SOLUTIONS, INC.
September 12, 2007
Mr. Michael Infurna
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 E. Main Street
Stockton, California 95202
Re: Dual Completion Well Destruction
Flag City New West#1003
6437 W. Banner St.,Lodi, California 95242
CVRWQCB Case No. 391163
Dear Mr. Info na,
This letter is being submitted to your office regarding future well destruction protocols
associated with dual completion wells to be installed at the Flag City.New West facility
located at 6437 W. Banner Street in Lodi, California.
Closure Solutions understands that San Joaquin County may require that dual-completion
wells be abandoned by overdrilling to the full depth and diameter of the original
borehole. Closure Solutions further understands that San Joaquin County may require
that this be accomplished by centering the auger on the deeper of the dual completion
wells, and that for 2" diameter dual completion wells, this may require overdrilling with
15" diameter augers.
Upon destruction of the wells, Closure Solutions will backfill the borehole with neat
cement from the bottom up to approximately 5 feet bgs using a tremie pipe, or as directed
by the County. At the time of well destruction, Closure Solutions agrees to destroy the
wells in accordance with both California Well Standards(74-81)as well as any additional
San Joaquin:County requirements.
We look forward to working with you. If you have any questions, please feel free to call
me at(925) 429-5555, or e-mail at rchinn@closuresolutions.com.
Sincerely,
(/ oQROft04g1
Ronald D.
