Well Decommissioning and Replacement - 3 - 22 June 2022 <br /> Well Installation Work Plan <br /> Olin Chlor Alkali Facility <br /> Tracy, San Joaquin County, California <br /> Requested Action: Please confirm the length of the well screen. <br /> COMMENT 5 <br /> Issue: The Work Plan neglects a discussion on the investigative derived waste (IDW). <br /> Requested Action: Central Valley Water Board staff requests the inclusion of <br /> procedures and sampling strategies for IDW handling and disposal in a revised Work <br /> Plan. <br /> COMMENT 6 <br /> Requested Action: Central Valley Water Board staff recommends that the boring for <br /> MW-17 be manually cleared to a minimum depth of 5 feet below ground surface using a <br /> hand auger to ensure the safety of the drilling staff. <br /> COMMENT 7 <br /> Requested Action: Central Valley Water Board staff recommends surveying the new <br /> well location by a Professional Land Surveyor. Applicable survey data should be <br /> documented in the report following well decommissioning and installation activities. <br /> Survey data will also be critical to accurately measure depth to groundwater and <br /> calculate groundwater gradients. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> Central Valley Water Board staff require a response to the above comments and <br /> submission of a revised Work Plan that incorporates edits in response to these <br /> comments.
