These parameters and total volume of water
removed will be monitored during well development and recorded on a well development
record. At least 10 well casing volumes of water will be removed from the well during
development.
7.0 SAMPLE AND ANALYSIS PLAN
The newly installed well will be surveyed by a licensed Professional Land Surveyor and be
sampled semiannually for the two years and biennially thereafter. Water quality parameters,
including pH, electrical conductivity, and temperature will be recorded during groundwater
monitoring events. Groundwater samples will be collected using low-flow purging and
sampling techniques and submitted for laboratory analysis of volatile organic compounds by
United States Environmental Protection Agency Method 826013. Groundwater sampling
methods are described in detail in Appendix A.
8.0 WASTE MANAGEMENT
Waste generated during well decommissioning, installation, development, and sampling will be
temporarily stored on-site in Department of Transportation-approved 55-gallon drums in a
designated area and in compliance with applicable waste handling regulations. The waste will
be sampled and then profiled following applicable local, state, and federal laws. Representative
solid and liquid waste samples will be collected and analyzed for the purpose of waste
profiling. After waste profiles have been established, the waste will be removed for off-site
disposal at a licensed facility by a licensed waste hauler.
4 https://woodplc.sharepoint.com/teams/OlinTracy/Shared Documents/General/03.0 DocCtrl/2022 Decomm WP/Revised Decomm
WP/01_text/202207_Tracy_Wood_Decomm WP_text.docx
