Containers larger than <br /> five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and <br /> managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this section. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a)Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> Two black metal 55 gallon drums of hazardous waste were observed with accumulation start dates of 6/4/2016 <br /> outside between the empty plastic drums and totes on the northwest corner of the building. Facilities who generate <br /> more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. Immediately contact a <br /> licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the <br /> EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 603 CCR 66262.34(e)(1)(C)Failed to mark initial accumulation start date on satellite containers. <br /> One red metal 55 gallon drum of used oil did not have an initial start date marked. The last disposal record for used <br /> oil that was available during the inspection had a date of 3/9/2017. The initial date of waste accumulation shall be <br /> clearly marked and visible for inspection on each container used for satellite accumulation of hazardous waste. <br /> Satellite containers of hazardous waste can stay on site up to one year.
