 I
hNJ KLEINFELDER
ANALYTICAL RESULTS
A total of six discrete soil samples were collected and submitted for the following analyses:
• Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Diesel and Motor Oil [TPH-D
and TPH-MO] by EPA Method 8015B/DHS LUFT
TPH-D and TPH-MO were none detected at or above laboratory reporting limits from five of the
a six discrete confirmation soil samples collected within the excavation. Discrete soil sample C5,
collected along the eastern sidewall of the excavation had TPH-MO detected at 26 mg/kg. TPH-
D was none detected at this location. A summary of analytical results are included in the
attached Table 1.
For details refer to the chain-of-custody form and analytical results in Attachment B.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
l
i
• The Former UST stockpile of approximately 75 cubic yards and approximately 45 cubic
E yards of overexcavated material from the steam clean sump area has been manifested and
E hauled offsite to Forward Landfill of Stockton, California(See Attachment Q.
i, • TPH-MO by was detected in one of the six excavation confirmation soil samples at a
F' concentration of 26 mg/kg in the sump/steam clean area. Results from previous sampling in
this general area are summarized in Tables 2 through 4. It is been Kleinfelder's experience
j that these values would not generally trigger additional sampling or enforcement actions by
regulatory enforcement agencies. Therefore Kleinfelder's does not recommend further
sampling/assessment or mitigative activities related to the sump/steam clean area.
• If during future grading activities additional soil discoloration or odors are noted, the
signatories of this report should be contacted.
A copy of this report should be forwarded to San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (PHS/EHD) for their review and comment.
This report, and the conclusions and recommendations presented in this report are subject to the
"Limitations"presented below. Any party (other than SJC/MVCD or regulatory agencies having
enforcement jurisdiction for this site) who would like to use this report shall notify Kleinfelder,
Inc. of such intended use in writing for permission.
LIMITATIONS
e
Kleinfelder has prepared this report in accordance with the generally accepted standards of care
which exist in San Joaquin County at the time of writing. It should be recognized that definition
and evaluation of geologic and chemical subsurface conditions is difficult.
