h'9 KLEINEELDER
of the southern excavation at depth from 25 to 45 feet with the highest petroleum concentrations
at approximately 30 feet bgs. For a detailed listing of results see Table 8.
WELL BORING SOIL SAMPLING RESULTS
j Soil samples were collected for lithologic classification every five feet during advancement of
four well borings (MW-1 through MW-4). No soil discoloration or unusual odors were noted
either from soil cuttings or from the soil samples collected. A single soil sample was collected
and submitted for analyses from each well boring at depths estimated just above first encountered
groundwater. For a listing of results see Table 8. These four soil samples were collected at
depths ranging from 46 to 56 feet bgs and were analyzed for various petroleum constituents as
3 listed in Section 4.2. None of the requested petroleum constituents were detected at or above
laboratory reporting limits. Based on these field observations and soil sampling results, it does
not appear that soils have been impacted by petroleum constituents at these locations. However,
it should be noted that soils may become impacted due to the petroleum constituents detected in
groundwater at the MW-4 location near first encountered groundwater including zones in which
groundwater may fluctuate seasonally.
P
1
p{
Z
i
I
t
Y
v
Y
36274/ST03RI919 Page 15 of 19
?)2004 Kleinfelder,Inc.
