Beckman in Lodi, <br /> California (Figure 1) This Case Closure Report was prepared under guidance of Appendix B, <br /> Requests for Closure, 1 March 1994, of the Tit Regional Board Staff Recommendations for <br />' Preliminary Investigations and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites and a letter from Ms. <br /> Mary Meays and Ms. Margaret Lagono of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> (SJCPHS) dated 26 February 1997 Appendix A contains the completed Checklist of Required <br /> Data for Closure of Underground Tank Sites. <br /> The Case Closure Report was prepared in support of a request to have this site formally closed <br /> . with no further investigative or monitoring actions required Information presented in this report <br /> includes a site history and a description of existing site features, geology, hydrogeology, and <br /> contamination, including initial and remaining contaminant concentrations and mass balance <br /> calculations. A well abandonment and soil disposal plan is also presented <br />' 2.0 SITE HISTORY <br /> This site history was prepared from information contained in previous reports prepared for this <br />' site; a list of reports is included in Appendix B. <br /> In 1986 a 7,000-gallon formulated oil tank, a 8,000-gallon weed oil tank, and a 1,000-gallon <br /> unleaded gasoline tank were removed from the site. Additional soil was excavated from beneath <br /> the weed oil and gasoline tanks as a result of the discovery of soil contamination that appears <br /> to have originated from the gasoline tank Soil was excavated to a maximum depth of 31 feet <br /> below ground surface (bgs) <br /> A soil and groundwater investigation was conducted in 1986 and 1987 to delineate the extent of <br /> soil contamination and determine if groundwater was impacted The investigation consisted of <br /> . the completion of six soil bonngs and the installation of three groundwater monitor wells <br /> LTR07ECTMAN10Q1CL0SUREIMVC_L0DC1,11 1 T May'W' <br />
