ik so
Wif
February 28. 1997
Mr. Joel Weiss
Associate Engineering Geologist
California Regional Water Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region
3443 Routier Road. Suite A
Sacramento, CA 95827-3098
Subject: Renown Property, Tracy
Dear-Mr. Weiss:
in response to your January 14, 1997 letter requesting a work plan for additional investigation of
the Renown site, I had left a message on your voice mail requesting an extension to the end of
February. I had two environmental/geological firms review the past work done at the site, and
they both suggested that because of the considerable work already done, more work may be
unnecessary. To better evaluate the past work, I requested the firm Dames & Moore to put
together a summary. This should be completed by mid-March. Accordingly, I am requesting
this time to complete the summary for your review.
In your January 14, 1997 letter, you had enclosed a memorandum to Ms. Wendy Cohen. You
only reference some of the past reports and perhaps some of them were not available to you.
Below is a list of all the past reports that I have regarding this site. Should there be any you are
missing, I can provide them for you.
1. Soil Excavation and Disposal Plan - American Environmental Management Corporation,
8'86
2. Work Plan - Soil and Ground Water Contamination Assessment, Dames & Moore, 8/3/88
3. Preliminary Report - Phase 1 - Soils Investigation, Dames & Moore, 11/7/88
4. Report - Phase II - Groundwater Investigation, Dames & Moore, 3/3/89
5. Health Risk Assessment, names & Moore, 6/89
6.
