(Geomatrix). The property
occupies the eastern portion of the former TAOC Tracy Pump Station located along Beechnut Avenue,
west of Tracy Boulevard. Previously, the project was referred to as the 888800 Beechnut site.
The report provides the 4 August 2004 quarterly groundwater monitoring analytical results related to
leaks from the former pump station facility and the Old Valley Pipeline formerly located on the property.
Currently, there are two onsite monitoring wells, two offsite (downgradient), and one offsite (upgradient)
monitoring wells associated with this project; the two onsite wells contain floating product and were not
sampled.
Consistent with previous results, petroleum hydrocarbon constituents were not detected in the upgradient
well; total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes
(BTEX), and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were not detected in the two downgradient
wells. However, TPH as diesel (TPH-d) was detected in the two downgradient wells at concentrations
of 610 µg/L (Well E) and 210 µg/L (Well F).
Separate phase floating crude oil has been removed for the five previous consecutive quarters from the
two onsite wells containing product (REW-2 and REW-3). Science Applications International
Corporation (SAIC), a consulting firm for ChevronTexaco, is responsible for product removal at this
site. During this quarterly event, due to unspecified"weed abatement activities", REW-2 was not
accessible for monitoring; REW-3 contained approximately 1.5 feet of floating product. Approximately
one gallon of floating product was removed from REW-3.
According to the quarterly monitoring report, Geomatrix is plarming to conduct soil and groundwater
characterization to evaluate the extent of impacts north-northwest, downgradient of the site once access
California Environmental Protection Agency
CIV Recycled Paper
