The next scheduled activity at the site is quarterly monitoring and sampling
in May 1995.
Site Location and Description
The site is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Benjamin Holt Drive and
Interstate 5 in a commercial area of Stockton, California. The site is an active service station that
retails unleaded grades of gasoline. The station facilities include a building, two fuel dispenser
islands under a commonanopy, three underground fuel storage tanks, and one underground
waste oil tank. The three underground fuel tanks (one 10,000-gallon and two 8,000-gallon single-
walled steel) are located immediately southwest of the station building (Figure 2). The waste oil
tank is located adjacent to the east wall of the station building.
Background
Applied Geosystems (AGS), of Sacramento, California, conducted a subsurffaa e
investigation at the site in August 1988.,This investigation included drilling and samplin; our
soil borings completed as groundwater monitoring wells. The results of the investigation were
documented by AGS in the "Assessment of Soil and Groundwater Contamination" report, dated
September 16, 1988. All of the soil and groundwater samples analyzed during the AGS
investigation were below the respective method detection and "Tri-Regional" practical
quantitation reporting limits (PQL). Static groundwater in the new wells averaged about 13 feet
below surface. The four monitoring✓wells were abandoned in 1989.
93479047.ELT A member of the Fugro group of companies with offices throughout the world
