West Benjamin Holt Drive,
Stockton, California
i
Dear. Mrs. Vukelich:
As requested in your letter dated August 8 ,., 1990, Groundwater
Technology, Inc. has reviewed the additional information supplied
by Mr. Greg Lyon regarding the ARCO Service Station south of
Chevron Service Station No. 9-4275. Additionally, Groundwater
Technology personnel conducted a site visit to assess possible
well locations. Based on the available. information, Groundwater j
Technology still recommends that the well to assess water quality
east of the site be installed. It should be positioned as close
to a line due east of monitoring well MW-2 as possible and on the
eastern side of Plymouth Road. This is our rationale:
1) The groundwater-flow direction across the site is
approximately due east, and monitoring well MW-2 is very
close to the eastern edge of the site. The observed
concentrations of dissolved gasoline hydrocarbons in MW--2
are sufficiently high which suggests the strong possibility
that the plume has migrated off site. Therefore, additional
monitoring points downgradent are necessary for further
i
l
definition.
i
offices throughout the U.S.,Canada and Overseas
I
