Sampling and analysis was performed
in response to an unqualified detection of methyl tert butyl ether(MtBE) in this well from
the 4`h quarter 2000 groundwater monitoring event.
On March 2, 2001, the City of Stockton activated the disabled Municipal Well No. 10 for
approximately 20 minutes. Gettler-Ryan, Inc. collected duplicate samples from the
discharge piping, and prepared field blanks using de-ionized water at the site during the
event. Duplicate and field blank samples were shipped to two state-certified analytical
laboratories for testing of MtBE concentrations, along with trip blanks previously prepared
in the laboratory. Table 1 contains the results of laboratory analysis for duplicate samples,
and quality assurance samples for select analytes. Analytical reports are attached.
Table 1
March 2, 2001 Analytical Results - City Of Stockton Municipal Well No. 10
Sample Description Analyzing Test Result Detection
Identification Laboratory Method (ug/L) Limit(ug/L)
TB-LB Trip- Laboratory Blank Sequoia8260B ND 2.5
Field Blank Field Blank Sequoia' 8260B ND 2.5
Muni-10 Municipal Well No. 10 Sequoia' 8260B ND 2.5
TB-LB Trip - Laboratory Blank Kiff? 8260B ND 0.50
Field Blank Field Blank Kiff' 8260B ND 0.50
Muni-10 Municipal Well No. 10 Kiff' 8260B 0.57 0.50
'Sequoia Analytical 404 North Wiget Lane,Walnut Creek,California 94598
a Kiff Analytical LLC 720 Olive Drive,Suite D,Davis,California 95616
1:1Chevron\94275\Correspondence\LD_sg_3_23_0I.doc
3017 Kilgore Road, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916.861,0400 916.861.0430 Fax www.secor.com
