FIR 24 1128 <br /> March 20, 2000 <br /> Project 077 41672 001 <br /> Mr Bob Cochran <br /> Chevron Products Company <br /> P O Box 6004 <br /> San Ramon, California 95843 <br /> Re Fourth Quarter 1999 Remedial System Evaluation Report <br /> Chevron Service Station #9-4275 <br /> 2905 West Benjamin Holt Drive <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Cochran <br /> SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) has prepared this letter on behalf of <br /> Chevron Products Company (Chevron) to document the performance of the soil vapor <br /> extraction and air sparging systems operating at the above referenced site (Figures 1 and <br /> 2) Soil vapor extraction (SVE) and air sparging (AS) were initiated at the site by <br /> Geraghty and Miller in September 1997 and April 1997, respectively A brief description <br /> of the remedial system, and performance evaluation of the remedial system for the fourth <br /> quarter of 1999 are presented below <br /> Soil Vapor Extraction System <br /> The SVE system is comprised of ten SVE wells (VW-1, GM-1 through GM-9), a 5- <br /> horsepower (hp) positive-displacement blower, and a 100 cubic feet per minute (cfm) <br /> catalytic oxidizer The SVE system is operated under Permit No N-3645-1-0 issued by <br /> the San Joaquin County Unified Air Pollution Control District <br /> The SVE system has not been operated at the site since February 1998 due to high <br /> groundwater levels Depth to water in the monitoring wells at the site ranged from <br /> 10 24 to 12 96 feet below ground surface on December 16, 1999 The screened <br /> intervals for SVE wells start at 10 to 13 feet below grade (Figure 2), therefore water <br /> levels are currently too high for the effective operation of the SVE system To date, the <br /> SVE system has e-ctrac.ted approximately 70 pounds of gasoline from the soil and <br /> groundwater beneath the site <br /> 99/21i11uo11 " P(114 /)111( 511'Ic 100 Sctclmuc111(, C 1 95h27 (9/6) X01 /,SS0 (9/0) ,61 1,Sh91(1t 111111 �1culcunl <br />
