This <br /> Addendum has been prepared as reques b� San Jo uin County Public Health Services <br /> • (SJCPHS) in a letter dated June 17, 1997, follow g i review of the above-referenced CAP <br /> This addendum includes 1) an assessment of h drocarbon impacts on soil and groundwater, <br /> including the resul+1graun <br /> ion of a s boring for vertical delineation showing that <br /> hydrocarbons areertically, 2) a discussion of the feasibility and cost- <br /> effectiveness of theor extraction/air sparging remediation system versus other <br /> possible correctiveoposed clean-up levels for soil and groundwater at the <br /> site prior to the cesemediation and long-term passive remediation goals <br /> ASSESSMENT OF IMPACTS <br /> 4atthe <br /> d groundwater at the site have been impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> sy The SJCPHS has previously identified the shallow aquifer in the area <br /> station as a potential drinking water and agricultural water source In <br /> accordance with the SJCPHS requirements, the ultimate project goal is to reduce concentrations <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbons to below the Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs)established for <br /> drinking water A municipal drinking water well, with screened intervals below 180 feet <br /> below ground surface (bgs) is located across Plymouth Avenue from the site (Figure 2) No <br /> hydrocarbons have been detected in the municipal well. <br /> GM RICHMOND DATA CHEVRON CHEM N Z RBEVAM CORR-ACI REVCAP DOC <br /> GERAGHTY& MILLER, INC V' <br />
