GERAGHTY & MILLER, INC g
The soil boring will be installed by Precision Sampling, Inc. (Precision). The Precision
' sampling ng utilizes a hydraulic hammer to drive the hollow, cylindrical EnviroCoreTM
sampling rods into the ground to collect continuous soil cores Two nested sampling rods are
' driven simultaneously the small-diameter inner sampling rods are used to obtain and retrieve
the soil cores, and the larger-diameter outer rods serve as temporary drive casings This equip-
ment provides a technique for collecting soil samples below the water table while mmunizing
tthe potential for cross-contamination from groundwater encountered in the boring.
Soil samples collected using the EnviroCoreTM stainless steel sleeves will be sealed,
placed on ice, and transported to Sequoia Analytical, Inc. (Sequoia), along with appropriate
tchain-of-custody documentation All of the soil samples will be analyzed for TPH as gasoline
(USEPA Method 801.5, modified) and BTEX with MTBE (USEPA Method 8020,modified)
'
Project No. RC0309 010
