S 1EC0R
Third Quarter 2004, Groundwater Monitoring Report
November 10, 2004
. Page 4
fourth quarter 2004. Based on a review of historical groundwater analytical data collected from wells
MW-4, MW-7, and MW-8 located at the CHEVRON service station site, SECOR recommends a
reduction of the sampling frequency of these wells from quarterly to semi-annually during the first
and third quarters. Although well MW-8 is located in close proximity to City of Stockton Municipal
Weil #10, continued quarterly monitoring and sampling of nearby well MW-6 is a sufficient sentry well
for monitoring the off-site dissolved plume in this area. The reduced sampling frequency will
coincide with the modified sampling schedule that was implemented at the ARCO service station
beginning in the fourth quarter 2003, upon SJCEHD approval granted in correspondence dated
November 12, 2003. Depth to groundwater will continue to be monitored in wells MW-4, MW-7, and
MW-8 on a quarterly basis for the purpose of confirming groundwater flow direction and hydraulic
gradient across the site. Upon SJCEHD approval, SECOR is prepared to implement the proposed
revised sampling schedule during the fourth quarter 2004.
STATEMENT OF LIMITATIONS
This report presents our understanding of existing conditions at the subject site.
