BETX constituents were detectable in the samples from wells BHD-1, E-5, <br /> E-8, and E-9, and total petroleum fuel hydrocarbons were detectable in the sample from <br /> well BHD-1. In these four samples the benzene concentration exceeded the DHS Drinking <br /> Water Action Levels. The ethylbenzene concentration in samples from wells BHD-I and E-5 <br /> exceeded the Regional Board's designated levels. All other constituents in these samples <br /> were below Regional Board designated levels. No designated level has yet been established <br /> for total petroleum fuel hydrocarbons. <br /> Recovery System Water Quality <br /> 'rhe two samples (R-1 from the discharge line and T-1 from the separator tank) <br /> collected during recovery system reactivation were analyzed for total petroleum fuel <br /> hydrocarbons, BETX, and total lead at Eureka laboratory.
