In both samples, benzene
concentration exceeds the DHS Drinking Water Action Levels, and the toluene concentration
.. exceeds the Regional Board's designated levels in water for the protection of groundwater
quality. The ethylbenzene and xylene concentrations in both samples were below Regional
Board designated levels. The benzene concentration in sample T-1 exceeds the WCF
Interim Policy maximum allowable concentration.
The total petroleum fuel hydrocarbon concentration was nondetectable in sample R-1,
and 2.0 mgfl in sample T-I and an, below WCF's maximum allowable concentrations in both
samples. No designated level , has yet been established for total petroleum fuel
S.y
hydrocarbons.
The total lead concentration in Sample T-1 was below detection limits. The total lead
concentration in Sample R-I was at the detection limit, well below the Regional Board's
designated level.
< CONCLUSIONS
Based on the .findings of this investigation, the area of soils-cmntamination is limited
} to the unsaturated soil above the shallow groundwater table ;beneath the site- This
}
