1 , <br /> Atlantic Richfield Company 2 <br /> ARCO 2133 2909 Ben anon Holt Dr Stockton CA September 10 2002 <br /> cracks Excavation and sampling activities were observed and approved by Mr <br /> Raymond Von Flue of SJCEHD <br /> Soil Sampling - UST <br /> On August 2, 2002, one soil sample was collected from the UST excavation The soil <br /> sample was collected from under the center of the tank (designated WT-1) at a depth of <br /> approxiately 11 feet below ground surface (bgs) The soil sample was analyzed for total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons calculated as gasoline (TPHg) and total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons calculated as diesel (TPHd) by EPA Method 8015, hexavalent chromium <br /> by EPA Method 7196, cadmium, chromium, lead, nickel, and zinc by EPA 6010, <br /> volatile organic compounds (VOC's) by EPA Method 8260, polychlorinated biphenyls <br /> by EPA Method 8082, and total recoverable petroleum hydrocarbons (TRPH) by EPA <br /> Method 418 1 <br /> Hexavalent chromium, chromium, nickel, zinc, and lead were reported at concentrations <br /> of 14 mg/kg, 35 mg/kg, 38 mg/kg, 49 mg/kg, and 12 mg/kg, respectively All other <br /> constituents analyzed for were reported as nondetect UST soil analytical data is <br /> presented in Table 1 and the soil sample location is shown on Figure 1 Field'and <br /> laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment A Certified analytical reports and <br /> chain-of-custody documentation are presented as Attachment B The transportation and <br /> disposal manifests for the waste-oil UST is included in Attachment C <br /> Stockpiled Soil <br /> Pea gravel generated during the removal of the waste-oil UST was used as backfill in <br /> the excavation A sample was collected from the pea gravel prior to reuse The sample <br /> (SP-1, A,B) was analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons calculated as gasoline <br /> (TPHg) and total petroleum hydrocarbons calculated as diesel (TPHd) by EPA Method <br /> 8015, hexavalent chromium by EPA Method 7196, cadmium, chromium, lead, nickel, <br /> and zinc by EPA 6010, volatile organic compounds (VOC's) by EPA Method 8260, and <br /> polychlorinated biphenyls by EPA Method 8082 <br /> Chromium, nickel, zinc, and lead were detected at concentrations of 6 5 mg/kg, 9 1 <br /> mg/kg, 19 mg/kg, 5 2 mg/kg, respectively All other constituents analyzed for were <br /> reported as nondetect Pea gravel analytical data is presented in Table 2 -Certified <br /> analytical reports and chain-of-custody documentation are presented as Attachment B <br /> Rinsate Water Disposal <br /> Approximately 100 gallons of ansate water were generated during removal activities <br /> This water was transported by Belshire Environmental Services to DelMenno Kerdoon <br /> in Compton, CA for disposal The accompanying waste manifest is included in <br /> Attachment C <br /> 401 <br /> Project/ARCU2133/waste oil tank pull doe <br />
