• Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2003
.WELDON CHURCH PROPERTY
104 West Beverly Place, Tracy, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION -
-At the request-'of Mr. Weldon Church,'Advanced GeoExivirom' rental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this
quarterly ground water monitoring report for the site at 104 West Beverly Place, Tracy, California '
(the site). The scope of work included'monitoring and sampling eight wells and preparation of this
' report. The site location is illustrated on Figure 1. Locations of structures, borings and monitoring
' wells related to the site are illustrated on Figure 2.'Site background information is provided in
Appendix A.
2.0. PROCEDURES'
The March 2003 monitoring event was performed in.accordance with Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
(EHD)guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites and for sampling ground
water monitoring wells, respectively.
2:1. WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 20 March 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used to'measure the depth to groundwater in .
ground water monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7 relative to the top of the Well casing. After
ground water depth measurements were collected, each measured monitoring well was purged using
I a new disposable'plastic bailer:'Between;.approximately 4 and 10 gallons of water were evacuated
from each'monitoring well,,a minimum of three casing-water volumes per well.
Temperature, pH and conductivity were, measured at 1 and 2 gallon intervals, as appropriate, usin
g an Oakton water analyzer to monitor stabilization of these ground water parameters. Field-data logs.
are 'included, in 'Appendix B. Purged, water,, was temporarily storedon-site 'in -55-gallon
DOT-approved H-17 storage drums'pending proper disposal.
2.2. COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF.GROUND.WATER SAMPLES
Water samples were collected from monitoring wells MW=1 through MW-7 using new disposable
bailers. The samples were transferred into 40-m1 EPA=approved, vials containing 0.5 m118%
hydrochloric acid as a preservative. The sample vials were:theri labeled with the monitoring.well
designation, date, time of sampling and'the sampler's initials. The samples were transported in a.,
chilled container under chain-of-custody,to` McCampbell Analytical, Inc. t(MAI), a.California
:Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
1
