"
Thc,scope of work included she monitoring and sampling of eight wells and preparation of this
report. The site location is illustrated on Figure 1. Locations of structures,.borings, and monitoring ,
' wells related to the site are illustrated on Figuie 2. Site background information is provided in
Appendix A.'
2.4. PROCEDURES "
J
The March2006monitoring event wasperformed,in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB);and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
(EHD)guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites and for sampling ground
t water monitoring wells.
2.1. WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 18 March-2006,,a Solinst water level'meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in '
ground water monitoring wells MW-1 ifirough MW-7 relative to the tops of the well casings. After
ground Water depth measurements were collected, a minimum of three casing-water volumes were, '
purged, from. each monitoring well using a dedicated disposable plastic bailer. In"addition,
temperature,;pH, and conductivity were measured at'zegular purge intervals using an Oakton water
analyzer to monitor stabilization of these ground water parameters. Field data logs are included in
Appendix B:'Purged water was temporarily stored on-site in 5 5-gallon Department of Transportation
DOT =a o roved storage drums pending proper disposal:
2.2.- . COLLECTION AND'ANALYSIS,OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
Water samples were collected from monitoring wells MW-'1 through MW-7 using new disposable
bailers. The samples were transferred into 40-milliliter(ml)EPA-approved volatile organic analysis
(VOA)vials containing 0.5 in1.18%hydrochloric acid solution as a preservative.,The sample vials
t ; " were then labeled with the monitoring well designation, date,'time of'sampling, and the gampler's
initials.
The samples were,
transported: in 'a chilled container ,under chain of custody. to Cal Tech
Environmental"Laboratorie's.,(CTEL),a',State"of California Department of Health Services (DHS)-
'Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
