August 8, 1995
Page 2
} 800 E. Kettleman, Lodi ARCO Facility 2076
PHDIEHD contact - Mary Meays
. Recent groundwater sample results continued to confirm that groundwater has not been
impacted by residual soil contamination at this time.
1612 Hammer Lane, Stockton ARCO Facility #548
PHSIEHD contact - Mary Meays
The pending tank removal was discussed and accommodations which are planned to provide
access in new tank basin to investigate and remediate soil contamination. The investigation by
the neighboring property owner was discussed and access to the property will be again
requested to better define the extent of off site groundwater contamination.
2908 W. Ben Holt, Stockton ARCO Facility #2133
PHSIEHD contact - Mary Meays
Discussed status of the remediation system which is now fully operational. Some modifications
to the air sparge system were made to prevent possible migration of contamination which
resulted from an unauthorized release associated with the northern pump island. The
response to the release consisted of bailing of product which was evidenced in MW10. The
second quarterly report should be submitted within two weeks and will describe mitigation
activities.
/85 East Louise, Lathrop ARCO Facility #6080
PHS/EHD contact - Linda Turkatte
PHSIEHD has received the work plan to destroy the three monitoring wells at the site but
needs a completed permit application and the associated $60 fee. Once the wells are
destroyed a closure letter will.be issued to indicate no further action with regard to the former
waste oil tank at the site.
225 South Cherokee Lane, Lodi ARCO Facility #760
PHSIEHD contact - Linda Turkatte
The soil borings/vapor wells proposed for the alley way to the north and northeast of the site
were installed in ,lune of 1995. The next submittal for this site is to be a Corrective Action
Plan, which will include the design specifications of the remedial system proposed for the site.
In order to implement this proposal by the anticipated start date of December 1995, the
permitting and construction of the system will continue to proceed at this time.
The latest round of monitoring at the site revealed the groundwater concentrations, flow
direction and gradient to be consistent with previous historic observations.
3425 N. Tracy Blvd., Tracy ARCO Facility # 2093
PHSIEHD contact - Harlin Knoll
The catalytic oxidizer unit previously at ARCO station #434 will be moved to this site. The
start up date is expected to be December 1995. The construction process will begin in late
August 1995.
The additional analytical testing of the product evidenced in monitoring wells ATR#3 and
ATR#8 was conducted and it appears the product in monitoring well ATR#8 may have been
manufactured by ARCO. The product in monitoring well ATR#8 has increased and weekly
bailing will be started as a mitigation measure.
The abandonment of monitoring well ATR#12 was discussed. A permit application and the
associated $60 fee needs to be submitted. The fate of monitoring well ATR#6 was also
discussed as this well is not currently providing essential information and is located in an area
that be impacted by the street widening activities proposed for Tracy Boulevard.
