A report will be submitted that defines the extent of the
contamination and discusses remedial alternatives. Another vapor extraction test may be
performed to further investigate this alternative since the previous test was performed in
October 1991.
501 W. Kettleman Lane, Lodi ARCO Facility #434
PHSIEHD contact - Margaret Lagorio
The vapor extraction system is currently pulling 25 cubic feet per minute and emitting less than
one pound of hydrocarbons per day. The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control
District permit allows up to two pounds of hydrocarbon emission per day so the use of the
biofilter may be discontinued. Groundwater sample results from all the monitoring wells are
currently non-detect.
Brown and Caldwell presented an aerial photo obtained through Cal-Trans of the intersection
of Kettleman Lane and Hutchins Street taken in March 1989 in order to identify the location of
monitoring well 6. It was discussed that Boston Market should be responsible for locating and
destroying this well since they improperly abandoned it during the construction of their facility.
P Y 9 ty
The quarterly report dated May 15, 1995, contained field data sheets which indicated the grout
on monitoring well 2 had fallen approximately 9 feet. Brown and Caldwell stated they would
investigate this and make the necessary repairs.
Summary
The meeting allowed for continued communication between all parties and for continued progress at
the sites. The next meeting to discuss site progress was scheduled for October 30, 1995 at 2:00 p.m.
at the office of PHSIEHD.
If you disagree with this summary or have any questions, please contact me at (209) 468-3452.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Diane M.
