i
Kyle Christie
Page 2
of a monitoring well on his property which should have
completed the northerly delineation of the groundwater plume.
Monitoring wells 3 and 4 in the north portions of the site are
cross gradient and the sample results from these wells
indicate marginal contamination. The necessity for the off
site monitoring well will be evaluated by PHS/EHD.
The vapor extraction system was shut down but is back in
operation after replacement of the catalyst .
3425 N. Tracy Blvd. , Tracy ARCO Facility #2093
PHS/EHD contact - Harlin Knoll
ARCO is in the process of securing permits from the City of
Tracy for the installation of the vapor extraction system.
The bid for the installation of the vapor extraction system
should be awarded by the end of June and installation of the
system should begin in July.
Upgradient monitoring well 12 is being considered for
destruction since the water sample results have consistently
been nondetect . Repair of the well heads on some of the
monitoring wells is pending.
2908 West Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton ARCO Facility #2133
PHS/EHD contact - Mary Meays
The operation of the vapor extraction and air sparge systems
was discussed. A preliminary draft of dissolved oxygen
Y readings that were taken from the site since the air sparge
initiation was presented. Monthly measurements of dissolved
oxygen will continue until otherwise notified. Future
quarterly reports will include an evaluation of the expected
time for remediation and a calculated estimate of the volume
and mass of soil and groundwater contamination.
1612 Hammer Lane, Stockton ARCO Facility #548
PHS/EHD contact - Mary Meays
Arco indicated that they were in the process of evaluating the
future use of the site, whether it be to replace the tanks or
close the facility. The permitting process for a possible
vapor extraction system has been initiated with the San
Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District .
However, at this time, no due date for a Corrective Action
Plan was established.
800 East Kettleman Lane, Lodi ARCO Facility #2076
PHS/EHD contact - Mary Meays
Since groundwater contamination continues to not be evidenced,
a proposal to reduce the sampling frequency will be submitted.
There are no immediate plans to initiate soil remediation at
this site .
