Chuck Carmel Page 2
Site Specific discussions followed.
Facility 2130 at 7906 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton
PHS/EHD contact - Michael Infurna
The lease on this site expires in one year. If the lease is not renewed the tanks will be removed. The
extent of the groundwater contamination plume has not been physically defined. PHS/EHD
recommends additional off-site monitoring wells to the south. The results of the air sparging tests
should be submitted to PHS/EHD.
Facility 2168 at 441 W. Charter Way, Stockton
PHS/EHD contact - Michael Infurna
All seven on-site monitoring wells show evidence of contamination. Off-site wells to define the extent
of the groundwater contamination plume are to be installed. Off-site wells may have to be placed in
Lincoln Street (City of Stockton property) instead of Charter Way/Highway 4 (Cal-Trans Property).
PHS/EHD requested clarification of additives to ARCO gasoline and sampling for halogenated
constituents using EPA method 601.
Facility 6020 at 1711 E. Yosemite Avenue, Manteca
PHS/EHD contact - Michael Infurna
PHS/EHD has not received the results of the first groundwater sample analysis to date. ARCO stated
the results were non-detect for all constituents. The soil contamination has not been laterally or
vertically defined. Remediation will proceed once investigation is complete and equipment is
available.
Facility 2133 at 2908 Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton
PHS/EHD contact - Mary Meays
The off-site soil boring and monitoring well will be drilled once encroachment agreements with
property owners have been secured. The permit application for the Authority to Construct was
submitted to San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution control in March 1993. A work plan to install
vapor extraction wells will be submitted by May 31, 1993. Construction of the vapor extraction should
begin in July 1993. An additional monitoring well in the northwestern area of the site will be
installed. This well should be included in the work plan for the vapor extraction wells to be submitted
in May. A reduction in the sampling frequency was discussed. Once all additional monitoring wells
have been installed a proposal for reducing the sampling frequency can be submitted.
Facility 548 at 1612 Hammer bane, Stockton
PHS/EHD contact - Mary Meays
The investigation of soil and groundwater contamination will continue until the extent of
contamination is defined. Quarterly sampling and monitoring will continue. Remediation will
proceed when the contamination has been defined and equipment is available.
Facility 2076 at 800 E. Kettleman bane, Lodi
PHS/EHD contact - Mary Menys
The "Problem Assessment/Preliminary Evaluation Investigation Report"which includes the October
1992 installation of monitoring wells and subsequent groundwater monitoring should be submitted
