3rd Quarter 1995,Quarterly Monitoring Report <br /> fFormer PureGroBrea Facility <br /> • 1905 North Broadway Avenue,Stockton,California <br /> Sierra-Pacific Project No.94-055.04 <br /> Water samples were placed in 500-m1 polyethylene bottles, unpreserved, and submitted for <br /> nitrate (NO3) analyses using EPA Method 300 (Table 3). 'A second set of water samples were <br /> fplaced in 1000-m1 polyethylene bottles, acidified with H2SO4, and tested for Total KjeIdahl <br /> Nitrogen (TEN) using EPA Method 351.3. A third set of water samples were placed in 40-mI <br /> VOA vials for purgeable halocarbon analysis (EPA Method 601). Laboratory analytical reports <br />` and chain-of-custody form are presented in Appendix C. <br /> On behalf of Geo. F. Schuler, Inc., Sierra-Pacific collected ground-water samples at MW-I1 in <br /> 40-m1 WAS and amber glass bottles. These water samples were tested for total extractable <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (TEPH) by EPA Method 8015, total purgeable petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons (TPPH)by EPA Method 8020,and BTEX(Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and <br /> Xylenes) compounds by EPA Method 8020. <br /> I � <br /> f 3.0 RESULTS <br /> 3.1 Ground-Water Chemistry <br /> Concentrations of 0.78, 31, 21, and 19 4e 1,2-DCP were detected in ground-water samples <br /> collected from monitoring.wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-5, and MW-6, respectively. No 1,2-DCP <br /> .. ,was detected in the ground-water samples from MW-3 and MW-4 (Table 3, Appendix C). <br /> Tetrachloroethene (PCE) was not detected in any ground-water sample during third quarter . <br /> 1995 (Table, 3).' Concentrations of. 2.2 and 4.0 mg/8 Dibromochloromethane (DBCM) were , <br /> detected -in. ground-water samples collected from monitoring wells MW-2 ' and MW-5, <br /> respectively. No DBCM was detected in ground-water samples from MW-1, MW-3, MW-4, and <br /> MW-6. Concentrations of 18 and.2.3 pg/C chloroform were detected in ground-water samples <br /> from MW-5 and MW-6, respectively. A concentration of 3.1 4-e Bromochloromethane (BCM) <br /> was detected in MW-5.
