Environmental Health Department
SAN JOAQUIN
COUNTY
Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 1/1/2017 to
5/2/2017 for C06XPHU2T located at
3028 Navy Dr, Stockton
Activity Date Recorded by
02/27/2017 1 received an email from EHS manager, Jordan Cains stating " PE 2546 SAEED
42 min Attached are the results for the soil and water sampling that was completed on SC 544
Monday. The soil bin samples indicate that it is not hazardous and will be able to
be taken to a Class 11 landfill.
The water results indicate also non-hazardous and will be sent to a water
treatment facility.
As for the Trench and Base samples the results were less than 0.1 ppm. NRC has
indicated, and I agree, that those level would constitute an acceptable level for
clean-up, as it is a trace quantity. Of course the county has the final say on that.
As for now, I will leave the trench how it is with the adsorbent material and booms,
and the dam until I have received confirmation that the results are acceptable".
Garrett and I reviewed the result, and contacted the EHS manager asking to
explain the presence of the acetone in analysis, and why they took"base" sample
analysis. I also asked Jordan to send me the the disposal records. Jordan replied "
Okay as for the acetone in the ERPE_01 (Trench). I see that it is noted. I do not
know what would be the source of that as we do not have acetone on site. Not
sure if the CORRPRO had potentially an acetone'blanket' in the container with it
to help with loss of product through volatilization. I know they do that with paint, but
I am not aware if the CORRPRO has that. I will contact our vendor for it and get
some more information if you want.
Then the base sample was taken as I did not know the soil composition for the site
itself and wanted a comparison to the soil that was left in the trench. The trench
sample was taken at the lowest point on that back bend where the CORRPRO sat
in concentration the longest, then the base was taken further towards the entrance
of the product into the trench, but it was up the side of the trench closer to the
fence line.
As we discussed when you guys were out on site, we were going to take a sample
out in the field on the other side of the fence, but for ease of sampling (since the
bins also needed to be completed), I felt that a sample where you guys observed
it, was fine. And as for the results, there is no issue.
Okay I will work on the acetone information for you guys, and do not hesitate to let
me know if you have any other questions."and another email stated " Contacting
the vendor now. I just realized I didn't address disposal records. We are currently
still completing the bin removal and disposal. Would you like all the disposal
records once it is complete, or would the records for what has been disposed of so
far be sufficient?
I replied to Jordan to send me the disposal records that she has so far. Also
asked her When is she planning on completing the bin removal and disposal.
