Activity Log:
Date/Time Notable Activities
5/20/2016 Received phone call from Scott at the State Warning center informing of Spill Report 16-2999.
3:00am Reported as potential crude oil release in a line that runs from Martinez to Coalinga. Possibly in
Tracy, CA. Noted in the spill report is the pipeline has been shut down electronically from Houston
Texas.
110am Robert Lopez, EHD called to notify me of this release. He had called RP Robert Marshall who told
him there was a confirmed release. Cave him contact information for David Harder, 661979-5271
who is on sight.
3:15am Called David Harder who confirmed the release. He said the line has been turned off between the
Tracy Station and the next one North a few miles away. He stated his ER company is en route from
Benicia. He explained the line has been isolated. Told him I would call back in a bit for an update.
He said ok. He said he was unsure of total amount lost, believed 500 barrels, they are in the
process of updating state warning center.
3:20am Received notification from Bonnie CDPH. She wanted to confirm I had been notified and would
send me spill reports (and updates) I was unable to access EHD email for some reason, asked her
to send it to my personal email. She said she would. She said it had been updated to reflect
complete loss of pressure on a 24' line. Line was shut down, valves closed.
:00am State warning center updated to release of potentially 500 barrels, received call from Bonnie CDPH.
5:00am Called and spoke with Dave. He had an employee who went to site verified release to the ground
(hard to see very dark in the middle of hills). I asked if he could get me the coordinates of exact
location. He said he would when it was lighter, he wanted to ensure employee safety. I said sure.
I told him I would be responding once it was light so I could see as well_ He said ok,just to give him
a call and he would get me to the sight. OK.
6:00am Spoke to Dave told him I was on my way.
'J
